Maruti Dzire Gets First Price Hike Since Launch

Share

Maruti Suzuki has bumped up the prices of its latest-generation Dzire just three months after its debut in November 2024. The VXi and ZXi variants equipped with a five-speed AMT have received a ₹10,000 hike, while most other trims have gone up by ₹5,000. Interestingly, the top-spec ZXi+ MT remains unaffected by the price adjustment.

Updated Pricing Across

VariantsFollowing this hike, the Dzire now starts at ₹6.84 lakh for the base LXi MT variant and goes up to ₹10.19 lakh for the fully-loaded model (ex-showroom). Here’s a quick rundown of the affected variants:

  • ₹10,000 Increase: VXi AMT and ZXi AMT
  • ₹5,000 Increase: LXi MT, VXi MT, VXi CNG MT, ZXi+ AMT, and ZXi CNG MT

Powertrain Details

Under the hood, the Dzire carries its familiar 1.2L Z12E three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which churns out 82 PS and 112 Nm of torque—the same setup found in the latest Swift. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, with the option for a five-speed AMT for added convenience.

Maruti claims impressive fuel efficiency figures:

  • Manual: 24.79 kmpl
  • AMT: 25.71 kmpl
  • CNG: 33.73 km/kg

Feature-Rich Interior

Inside, the Dzire offers a modern, well-appointed cabin. A nine-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage, supporting wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The triple-tone dashboard, cruise control, push-button start/stop, and connected car tech enhance the driving experience.

Competitive Landscape

The Dzire remains a solid competitor to rivals like the Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura—many of which have also recently increased their prices. With its GNCAP 5-star safety rating and efficient engine options, the Dzire continues to be a strong contender in the compact sedan market.

For buyers looking for style, features, and fuel efficiency at a reasonable price, the Dzire remains a compelling option – now with a slightly higher cost.
